On December 3rd, Solaris invites to a new Zurich Editi
on of its Star Suppers.
An intimate gathering around the shared table brings us together with Renato Soldenhoff to explore Futures Thinking, not as prediction, but as a way of expanding what we believe is possible.
Around the table, strangers become companions. Stories unfold, and every word nourishes connection.
At a moment when the future is so often narrated through crisis, acceleration, and uncertainty, the evening asks what happens when we step outside linear thinking and begin to imagine futures in the plural. Not one fixed tomorrow, but many possible directions, shaped by the assumptions we carry, the choices we make, and the worlds we are able to envision.
Hosted at Neue Taverne in Zurich, the evening unfolds over a seasonal, creative, and mainly plant-based dinner designed for sharing. The table becomes part of the format itself: a space to slow down, exchange perspectives, and let ideas develop through conversation rather than presentation.
Together, we will explore how imagination can become a form of agency, and how thinking differently about the future might change the way we act in the present.
Renato Soldenhoff
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Renato Soldenhoff works at the intersection of design, futures thinking, and education.
His work explores how we can move beyond familiar assumptions, imagine alternative futures, and make them tangible enough to discuss, experience, and act on.
At Zurich University of the Arts, he co-leads the CAS Crafting Futures and teaches Strategic Design, bringing together Futures Literacy, design methodology, and experience-based learning.
