Cookies are text files stored on your device that enable us to analyze the use of the website. 4. What about YouTube?
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google.
If you agree to load a YouTube video by clicking the corresponding button, a connection to YouTube's servers is established, and YouTube is informed of which pages you have visited.
If you are logged in to your YouTube account simultaneously, YouTube can associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
For more information on the handling of user data, please refer to YouTube's privacy policy.
5. Where do we obtain your data?
We process personal data that you provide to us in the course of using this website or through other means. We also process data from interested parties who contact us.
6. Why do we process your data, and on what legal basis?
There are several reasons for processing your personal data:
Your personal data is processed based on your consent. Your data will only be processed within the framework of your consent and for the purposes to which you have agreed, such as sending informational materials, setting non-essential cookies, and providing information and invitations to events.
To fulfill our non-contractual obligations to you, we must process your data. This data processing is carried out to conduct pre-contractual measures at your request, especially for processing job applications.
Where necessary, we process your personal data beyond the fulfillment of contractual or legal obligations to protect legitimate interests of ours or third parties. This includes internal statistical purposes, the optimization of our online offering and web presence, and the organization of events.
7. Who receives your data?
Within the company, those who need access to your data to fulfill our legal and contractual obligations will receive it.
We do not sell or otherwise market your data.
8. How long is your data stored?
We process and store your personal data only for as long as necessary. Specifically, this means we store your data for 30 days.
Once the purpose for collection has been fulfilled, the data are regularly deleted unless temporary further processing is required, such as for fulfilling commercial and tax retention obligations (under the German Commercial Code, Tax Code, Anti-Money Laundering Act – up to ten years) or preserving evidence within the statute of limitations (up to 30 years, with a typical period of three years).
9. What rights do you have as a data subject?
As a data subject, you have various rights:
Right to access (Article 15 GDPR)
Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
Right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR)
Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR)
Your rights are subject to certain legal exceptions. Exceptions include, but are not limited to, processing for research or statistical purposes (§ 27 (2) BDSG), processing for archival purposes in the public interest (§ 28 (2) and (3) BDSG), or due to provisions in § 34 and 35 BDSG and Article 17 (3) GDPR.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time if your personal data was collected based on your consent. However, please note that such withdrawal only affects future processing and does not retroactively affect past processing.
10. Are you required to provide us with your personal data?
In the context of your request, we need the data necessary to process your request, to establish contact, and to fulfill associated obligations, as well as data that we are legally obligated to collect.
Without this data, we are typically unable to process your request or contact you.
11. Is there any automated decision-making?
As a rule, no automated decision-making takes place. Should we use such a process in some exceptional cases, we will inform you separately, provided that this is legally required.
12. Information in case of a purpose change
If the reason for processing your personal data changes, we will inform you immediately.
Your Right to Object
1. Right to Object in Individual Cases
Article 21 GDPR grants you the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons related to your particular situation, provided that the data processing is carried out in the public interest or based on a balancing of interests (Article 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR). This also applies to any profiling based on these provisions.
If you object to the processing of your personal data, we will no longer process it unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing is for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
2. Right to Object to Direct Marketing
Under Article 21 (2) GDPR, if your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object specifically to such processing. This also applies to profiling related to direct marketing.
If you exercise this right to object, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
3. To whom should you address your objection?
No specific form is required for the objection. It should preferably be addressed to:
