Frequently Asked Questions

  • Solaris, refers to a fictional planet in Stanislaw Lem's novel (Solaris) that is almost entirely covered by a living, sentient ocean with the power of “seeing into the deepest recesses of human minds and then bringing their dreams to life”. The planet orbits two Suns, a red sun and a blue sun, however, magically, the planet's orbit is always stable, never fluctuating. An enigmatic planet, a research lab of the self, it opens the door to a deeper understanding of yourself—and to a new way of being in the world.

  • Solaris is a platform for inquiry and recalibration. Through retreats, conversations, dinners, walks, and seasonal gatherings, we explore how science, contemplative practice, and the conditions of modern life intersect.

At its core, Solaris offers carefully curated journeys — immersive retreats and intimate formats held in beautiful, often remote settings — designed to deepen awareness and restore perspective. Our experiences are rooted in research and paired with embodied practice, creating space for transformative learning rather than passive consumption.

Each format is a different container. The intention remains consistent: to cultivate attention, examine human nature without compromise, and create the conditions where meaningful exchange becomes possible.

  • Solaris hosts multi-day immersive retreats (both extended and shorter formats), curated Conversations, thematic dinners, guided walks, and seasonal festivals. Each format explores one or more of our Matter themes — such as attention, resilience, longevity, mindfulness, planetary responsibility, and intentional living.

Some gatherings are hosted independently and open to individual participants. Others are designed in collaboration with organisations seeking a more integrated approach to resilience, focus, leadership, and long-term performance.

Regardless of format or setting, each experience is structured to create depth rather than scale, and reflection rather than performance.

  • Solaris attracts individuals who are reflective, curious, and willing to question familiar definitions of success.

Participants often come from leadership, entrepreneurship, academia, creative industries, science, and medicine. What connects them is not profession, but an interest in attention, resilience, meaning, and sustainable performance.

You do not need prior experience in meditation, neuroscience, or longevity practices — only openness and presence.

  • A truly internationally renown set of teachers and masters; most of them extensively published and recognised in their respective fields of expertise.

  • Solaris gatherings take place in selected locations that support immersion, reflection, and meaningful exchange. Retreats have been held in places such as Sicily and Ibiza, while dinners take place in cities like Geneva and Vienna, and conversations online. Locations will evolve as the themes and formats expand.

  • Yes. Solaris collaborates with organisations seeking to explore leadership, resilience, focus, and long-term performance in a more integrated way.

We design bespoke formats — from private conversations to immersive retreats — aligned with the specific needs and context of the organisation.

  • Solaris brings together perspectives from modern science and contemplative traditions across East and West, offering different ways of understanding attention, resilience, health, and meaning.

Participants often leave with greater clarity, practical tools, and a deeper sense of what genuinely supports their wellbeing and focus. Rather than prescribing a single path, Solaris allows each person to take forward what resonates most.
